As adults, there's nothing more empowering than feeling confident that you're able to take care of yourself and your family. In whatever way that means to you. As a child, there's nothing more empowering than knowing that you can help.
Long gone are the days where herbal knowledge is passed down through generations in the general population. Let's bring that knowledge back! What better way than for kids to know some basic herbal first aid care. We'll learn about one of the most well known first aid plants, Plantain! Easy to identify and use in remedies they can make themselves in case of a bee sting, to heal a minor scrape or even stop bleeding. We'll read a folk story about Plantain, color, learn to identify hands on, I'll have both fresh Plantain for everyone as well as dried. Each child can work with Plantain hands on! We'll learn about a few ways to use this plant in simple remedies even the youngest of children can do. This class is intended to bring the power back to the kids! Each child will get a folder with coloring pages, recipes, songs and poems and lots of info for the parents too!
